Submit your purchase orders

No vendor in this category publishes a price except the capture tools. NetSuite already loads sales orders for free through the CSV Import Assistant, and Oracle's Advanced Order Management module extends it, but neither reads a customer purchase order that arrives as a PDF. That reading step is what Anchor Group, EchoVera, Conexiom, Esker and PurchaseOrders each sell, and only the last of those tells you the cost before you talk to a salesperson.

Search this category and you get vendor pages. Every one of them says the same three things: AI reads the order, the data lands in NetSuite, your team stops typing. None of them tells you what it costs, which is the first thing anyone evaluating them actually wants to know. So this page starts there, with what is published and what is not, and then separates the tools by the part of the job they do.

The six routes, side by side

Prices below are what each vendor publishes as of September 2026. Where a row says quote only, that is not an estimate withheld for effect: the vendor genuinely does not list a figure anywhere on its site.

What NetSuite already does without buying anything

Before you price a third-party tool, be clear about where the gap actually is. NetSuite imports sales orders from CSV today. The route is Setup, Import/Export, Import CSV Records, with Transactions as the import type and Sales Order as the record type. Oracle documents both a single-file layout and a multi-file layout, the second splitting header data, item lines and the shipping address into three files joined by External ID.

That import is capable and it costs nothing extra. The required fields are modest: External ID, Customer, Date and Status on the header, a line ID or item on each item row, and Country if you import addresses. The customer and the item both have to exist in NetSuite already.

So the thing you are buying from a third party is not the ability to load orders. It is the ability to turn a PDF into the file that load accepts. Keep that distinction in front of you during demos, because several vendors present the import itself as though it were their feature.

Oracle's Advanced Order Management module is a different purchase again. It adds fulfillment rules, order orchestration and allocation logic on top of the base order management. It is worth looking at if your problem is deciding which warehouse ships what. It does not help if your problem is a full inbox.

Anchor Group Sales Order Automation

This one is a SuiteApp, which means it installs inside NetSuite rather than sitting alongside it. Purchase orders arrive by email or manual upload, the app extracts the data, matches the customer and the items against your NetSuite records, pre-codes the sales order and puts it in front of a person to approve, edit or reject. The review screen is a split view showing the original purchase order next to the sales order data, which is the right design for this job: you are checking a machine reading, and you want the source document visible while you do it.

Anchor Group describes an AI model that auto-learns purchase order formats, so there is no per-customer template to build. It offers a two month free trial on request. There is no price on the page, only a Get Pricing button.

Running inside NetSuite is the real differentiator here. Nothing leaves your account, the item and customer matching happens against live records, and there is no file to hand around. The tradeoff is that you are committed to NetSuite for that workflow, and a SuiteApp is one more thing to manage through NetSuite release cycles.

EchoVera

EchoVera describes a five stage pipeline: orders arrive in any format, AI extracts the data, fields are validated, customer-specific business rules are applied, and structured sales order data is delivered into NetSuite. It states that it integrates directly with NetSuite with no third-party connectors and without integration development work.

The customer-specific business rules are the part worth asking about in a demo. If one chain always orders in cases while your items are in eaches, or a particular buyer uses a part numbering scheme that needs translating, rules handle that centrally instead of a person fixing it order by order. Ask how many rules are included, who writes them, and what happens when a customer changes a format. No pricing is published.

Conexiom and Esker

These are the enterprise names in inbound order automation, and they genuinely do the full job: documents in one end, posted transactions out the other, with no file in the middle. Neither publishes list pricing. Both are sold as a quote scoped to your order volume, document mix and ERP integrations, and both are implementation led, so there is a project before there is a working system.

They make sense at real scale, where thousands of orders a month have to post without a person reviewing anything. They make much less sense for a distributor running fifty orders a day who wants to stop typing next week. We keep an honest breakdown of each on the Conexiom alternative and Esker alternative pages, including where each one wins.

Where PurchaseOrders fits, and where it does not

PurchaseOrders does the reading step and stops there. Upload the customer purchase order and you get the PO number, the customer, the ship-to address, dates, terms and every line with item code, description, quantity, unit of measure and unit price, as a CSV or Excel file shaped for the NetSuite import. You run the Import Assistant, or post the data through SuiteTalk if you would rather skip the file. The field rules that decide whether that load works are covered on the NetSuite sales order import page.

It does not create, approve or fulfil sales orders, it does not orchestrate anything, and it does not replace the Import Assistant. It is the step in front. The reason to pick it over the platforms above is that you can see the price, start today, and keep a human review in the loop. Starter is $49 a month, or $288 a year, which works out at $24 a month. Plus is $149 a month, or $888 a year. The reason to pick something else is if you want orders posting into NetSuite with nobody looking at them, which is a different product.

How much does NetSuite sales order automation cost?

For everything except capture tools, the honest answer is that you cannot find out without a sales conversation. Anchor Group, EchoVera, Conexiom and Esker all withhold pricing. Published rates in the capture layer start around $49 a month for a small team. Expect enterprise order automation quotes to be scoped on annual document volume plus an implementation fee, and expect that project to take months rather than days.

Can NetSuite import sales orders automatically?

NetSuite can import sales orders from a CSV file, and that import can be scheduled, but NetSuite will not produce the CSV from a customer purchase order on its own. Something has to read the document first. That is the single gap every product on this page is selling into, and it is worth naming plainly before you compare feature lists.

What should I ask before buying any of these?

Four questions separate the tools faster than any feature grid.

What happens on a format you have never seen? Template-based capture needs setup per customer. Model-based capture does not. Ask to test a purchase order from your newest customer during the demo, not a sample the vendor chose. The general category is covered in sales order OCR software, which reads customer POs into order lines.

How are customer part numbers mapped to my items? Your customers order by their codes. NetSuite knows yours. Whoever owns that cross-reference owns most of the ongoing work. Ask whether the tool holds the mapping, and what it does with a code it has not seen.

Does a person see the order before it posts? Straight-through posting is the goal at volume and a liability at low volume, where one bad reading becomes a wrong shipment. Decide which you want before the demo rather than during it.

What happens to the document itself? Inbound purchase orders come from outside your company, and any pipeline that lets a model read untrusted documents inherits that exposure, which is why guarding what an AI agent is allowed to do with outside content has become its own discipline. Ask where documents are stored, how long they are kept, and whether they are used to train anything.

Running SAP in another division? The same comparison for that ERP, including what SAP Document AI needs and what it costs, is in SAP sales order automation software compared. How a general document service compares with a PO-specific extractor is covered in the Google Document AI alternative page.

Which one should a distributor actually pick?

If you run ten to a hundred orders a day, want a person checking the reading, and want to know the cost today, a capture tool in front of the native import is the shortest path. If you run thousands and want no human in the loop, the enterprise platforms earn their implementation. If you are already deep in NetSuite customization and want the workflow to live inside the account, the SuiteApp route is the natural fit. On Business Central rather than NetSuite, Microsoft's own agent is broken down in Business Central sales order agent pricing.

Whichever way you go, the buying side is a separate import with different field rules, covered on the NetSuite purchase order import page, and the wider workflow around order intake is on sales order entry automation. If your books are on QuickBooks instead, the same comparison for that stack is on importing sales orders into QuickBooks.
